Jack Fleming interview: Folk history of Bear Creek Alabama
Jack Fleming was born on December 1, 1936, in Marion County, Alabama. He attended Phillips High School in Birmingham and graduated in 1955. He worked for the Haleyville Textile Mills for nine years and the Reynolds Metal Company in Lister Hill, Alabama.

In his narrative, Jack Fleming discusses the growth and decline of the rural community of Bear Creek.

Recorded in Birmingham on February 26, 1976, as part of the University of Alabama in Birmingham Oral History Research Project.
